Thesis work at DTU Management Engineering gives you the opportunity to be absorbed in an area, acknowledge the practical usage of your competences and enter into cooperation with companies and organisations. You can work with theory, methods and development in many different combinations.
How to get started
You can find a number of current suggestions for projects by entering the project & internship database, DTU Management Engineering on CampusNet. At this site, the sections release new suggestions for projects.
You are always welcome to contact a teacher or a section if you have suggestions or ideas for other interesting projects.
Within the project & internship database you can search for subjects from teachers and companies. Find the projects that you are interested in where you can use your already obtained competences and then contact the teacher who offers the project.
Perhaps you do not find a project that fits your ideas and wishes. If so, spend some time defining your ideas and then find a teacher who suits the project. Everybody is inspired by new and independent ideas. You can then discuss how your idea can become a project with the teacher.
Nobody will caste a sidelong glance at you for talking to more than one teacher about your future project before you decide what your project is going to be. It is also a good idea to talk to students who are already in the process to get inspiration.
The Department has prepared a document on learning objectives for Master's theses which we recommend that you read. Included in this document is a list of assessment criteria for examiners, We recommend that you study these criteria before starting the writing process
