Susanne Pedersen appointed new director for the UNEP DTU Partnership

The new director of the UNEP DTU Partnership comes from a position at the Global Green Growth Institute in Seoul.

Effective from 1 April 2021, DTU Management has appointed Susanne Pedersen as new director for UNEP DTU Partnership. Susanne comes from a position as Assistant Director-General at the Global Green Growth Institute in Seoul.

Mette Wier, Head of Department at DTU Management, is looking forward to welcoming the new director. 

“I am looking very much forward to Susanne joining the department and to collaborate closely with her on developing the UNEP DTU Partnership in the years to come. Susanne has the unique combination of competences from leading roles in international organizations and consultancy firms including experience from working with climate policies in developing countries,” she says. 

Susanne Pedersen is also looking ahead to the new position with high expectations. 

“I am proud to join such a relevant and unique partnership. And I look forward to benefitting societies across the world.”  

Before taking on the position at the Global Green Growth Institute, Susanne Pedersen was affiliated with DTU, where she headed the EU funded Climate-KIC Nordic. Susanne was responsible for bringing industry and academia together to create research based innovation and advice addressing climate change.

Furthermore, Susanne Pedersen has held several management and board positions at Ramboll. She currently holds honorary posts at the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership in Geneva and at the Innovation Centre Denmark in Korea.
