DNV GL Nordic Maritime University Workshop

This is the first announcement of the 19th Nordic Maritime Universities Workshop that will be hosted by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Copenhagen, Denmark, on 25‐26 January 2018.

Research topics related to maritime transport will cover safety, energy efficiency and environmental performance, and new technologies, in particular digitalization.

Suggestions on presentations on other topics of interest are also welcome. The presentations should preferably be in one of the following formats:

    a. “Advanced research” presentations, where PhD students or seniors researchers present results from completed or ongoing projects.

    b. “Early stage research”, where MSc and early PhD students describe their research project, their motivation, topic background, and intended results.

To help us in the planning you are kindly invited to submit the following before the 20th of October 2017 to Yanlin Shao:

  • Your name if you intend to attend the workshop and the dinner
  • The title and a short abstract (up to one page) of your presentation if you intend to present
  • You may also include research questions you want to address in the discussion

The program will include distinguished invited speakers (to be announced later). Suggestions are welcome and may be submitted to Assistant Professor Yanlin Shao or Dr. Christos Chryssakis.

Information on accommodation and how to reach DTU will follow.

Following the tradition, DNV GL will be hosting the dinner the evening of the first day.
