The McKinsey award for Best Business Plan
Every autumn, McKinsey & Company gives an award for the three best business plans from the course in interdisciplinary entrepreneurship offered by DTU Management Engineering.
This year, the first prize (an iPad for each team member) went to the team ”Green Pavillion” for the development of a cheap and environmental single use pavilion to use at festivals. Green Pavillion consists of Hildur Arna Magnusdottir, Pia Michelsen, Line Kagenow Svenstrup, Agnes Astvaldsdottir and Lars Christian Rask.
The inspiration and request for the project came from the Roskilde Festival. Green Pavillion cooperated with the management of Roskilde Festival and worked out a solution which is of interest for every large festival and seen globally – there are many festivals.
Green Pavillion suggests a business model that reaches them all and in a way that makes the perspectives and environmental advantages visible.
The second prize (an iPod Nano for each team member) went to SafeCVC who built a business model concerning the solution of certain safety issues regarding the use of catheters in intensive care.
SafeCVC consist of Jonas Falck Frederiksen, Rasmus Hofmann Johnsen, Allan Johnsen, Feilu Cheng and Magnus Edvard Frederiksen.
The third prize (an iTunes gift card for each team member) went to Body Posture Monitoring System which is a method that prevents computer related RSI through the interaction between computer and user.
Body Posture Monitoring System consists of Vladimir Bakalov, Sergio Gutierrez Lazaro-Carrasco, Christian Pandele, Bogdan Nacuta og Michaela Borta

DTU’s course in interdisciplinary entrepreneurship 2010 is followed by 115 students. 28 teams have during the autumn worked on developing of business concepts and business plans for new companies.
