Professor Liisa Välikangas joins DTU Management

DTU Management’s new professor is specialized in leadership and innovation management, and she is looking forward to working with her new colleagues at DTU as well as with Danish companies. 

Liisa Välikangas will be starting her new job at DTU Management on Monday 2 March. Liisa joins DTU Management from Aalto University and Hanken School of Economics in Finland, where she has been working as a professor, at Aalto since 2007 and at Hanken since 2013. Prior to this, she was affiliated with several international universities such as London Business School, Stanford University in California and Keio Graduate School of Business in Japan.

“Liisa has twenty years of experience working with prominent companies internationally on leadership and innovation management. I am sure that Liisa’s huge experience will be important in taking DTU Management to the next level in the field of strategic management and we are looking forward to welcoming Liisa”, says Head of Department Mette Wier.

Furthermore, Liisa brings solid experience in teaching and designing customized in-company programmes including the Executive MBA.  

“I am looking forward to ideas and contributions to executive education at DTU, since I will be coordinating the eMBA from the academic point of view”, says Liisa, who is finalizing a book manuscript along with several European colleagues titled "Tackling World Challenges". She is also working on an article on advanced technology and temporal agency, analyzing the impact on technology on our ability to collaborate creatively.
